Have a go at Raku pottery decoration with Suzanne Langstaff

£20-£25 (the whole experience lasts about an hour)

Watch Suzanne as she demonstrates how to decorate bisque fired pottery prior to firing.

Then choose your vessel (priced at £20 or £25) and create your own unique design using the 4 glazes on offer.

Once decorated you can stay and watch the firing, which takes approximately 40 minutes, or come back at a given time to watch the final stage of the process, observing the removal of vessels from the kiln into the reduction bin.

Once the vessels have cooled, you will be given a scourer to scrub the debris from your vessel to reveal the beautiful colours that have been created.

Please note: there will be flames and smoke and anyone with respiratory conditions should stand back from the demonstration.
